Louis Vuitton Vintage French Co. 1970’s Monogram Speedy 30. Overall poor condition with wear to leather and extreme darkening of handles, tears at bottom corners, and wear to metal from age and use. In the 1970's Louis Vuitton developed a relationship with a US Luggage Maker- The French Luggage Company. During a period from around 1976 through 1991, The French Company manufactured bags under a special license from Louis Vuitton. These items were made and sold in the United States. They were sold in more exclusive department stores like Saks Fifth Avenue and Neiman Marcus. This bag has some differences with the traditional Louis Vuitton monogram speedy. The leather is a thicker and not the easily watermarked vachetta leather of current bags. Leather band at the bottom and thick canvas keeps bag shape and not so sagging. The zipper pull is Talon and combined with Tucky lock system. No Louis Vuitton embossed on leather, no date code but there is a paper tag inside shows copyright and authority of the bag. This bag is being sold in as presented condition.

HOW WE MEASURE
Here is a graphic on how we measure the most important areas to ensure a more accurate fit. All measurements are taken with the garment laid flat and buttons done up. Please select a similar garment from your own wardrobe with similar fit and compare measurements. Please note our measurements are of the actual garment and not body measurements. However we often add notes about recommended body measurements to help determine fit so have also provided instructions on how to measure for body measurements.
Dresses and Tops:
Garment Bust: Measure armpit to armpit seam across front and double the measurement. For example if the measurement is 17”, double the measurement to arrive at 34”.
Your Bust size in inches: While standing up straight, wrap the tape measure around the largest part of your chest over the bust wearing the bra that you will wear with the garment. Please note that bra size is not the same as bust size in inches.
Garment Shoulders: Measure straight across from shoulder seam to shoulder seam.
Garment Waist : Measure smallest part of waist and double the measurement.
Your waist size in inches: While standing up straight, wrap the tape measure around the smallest part of your waist.
Garment Hip: Measure largest part of hip and double the measurement.
Your Hip size in inches: While standing up straight, wrap the tape measure around the largest part of your hips over the butt.
Sleeve : Measure top of shoulder seam to cuff.
Length: Measure back neck seam to hem.
Pants and Bottoms:
Waist: Measure waist of garment and double the measurement. For example if the measurement is 14”, double the measurement to arrive at 28”.
Rise: Measure from centre crotch seam to top front waist.
Inseam: Measure from centre crotch seam to hem along interior leg seam.
Cuff: Measure at bottom cuff.
